Okay im pretty much out of funds. I am wondering what do i have to do to get the d series radiator to work with my b series engine?

Also what is the size difference between these two radiators?

if i were you i wouldn't run the stock radiator on a b. try and get the mishimoto aluminum radiator. its double the size and with a slim fan can keep your motor running cool . i got mine for about 100 on ebay shipped

hmm.that sounds pretty good. 100 with hoses and thermostat?

i had a stock radiator with my b swap. ran just fine. just got clamps that would clamp the bigger hoses on the smaller necks better. not that hard to do.

Thanks for that info. I might just do that. Its not that much bigger right?

imo dont risk your b series you just spend money on, fork out the extra 100 or so and get a triple core off ebay

your fine if you have the OEM dual core radiator

my friend had a single core i thought he was pushing it but it ran with no over heating. but i would stay a single core. when you can upgrade to the oem dual core which isnt hard to fine


unless you have a big ass turbo kit and what not you dont need a triple core radiator it would be to excessive.

theres nothing wrong with a stock radiator with a stock motor btw.

if you NEEDED to replace your radiator then yea i d replace it.

I ran a stock civic rad with my B16 for months and never had a single prob.

i second that, i know people who run k-series with stock d-series radiators and they run fine.

A working radiator is just that. A working radiator. No need to replace it.

ya i have stock radiator in my b swap works good. buttttttttt. in the hot weather i tend to warm up a lil bit... its only when really hot. i will be getting a lager radiaotr in time but yes it will work fine for now. bout to be winter any way... plus i want a nice fresh full aluminum radiator.. lol.

i ran the stock one on meh stock motor nd come track day it would often overheat so i bought a mishimoto and now it never goes above 1/4 on meh temp gauge. imo it depends on what ur doin it for...... jus to drive, stay stock. anything above that..... upgrade. like courtottman said, dont risk ur b.

i looked for an aluminum radiator and like you my funds are low
PLUS!!!! ITS hard to find an aluminum radiator with a LIFETIME warranty
i upgraded to an OEM "fit" 3 core from o'relly auto for $70 and got new hoses . its for a 94 civic coupe ad i have a b18c the old one was the orignal to the car and ran a while with tht obv its 2009 . the car is running super cool , i know alot of people who do this witch great sucess .
eventually will i spent 300 for a good one with a lifetime ...yes but if you need it now and want to know the truth IMO its fine , i drove all the way to austin an hour + ride 20 minutes after installing it soo .... hope that helps

I have a D radiator still with a B swap. I autocross and drag my car. It has never over heated.

From what I saw in another thread, you have a supercharger. That would be one reason you motor did so. S/C produce loads of heat, and heat soak at an autocross is just bad. I have a friend I run with that has a S/C gsr swap. He gets it all the time.
