b18b swap next month 100% sure!!!! need some info...

ok as some of you know i am swaping in a b18b into my civic.... the questions i have are basic... first off. is ther anything i should be awear of befor doing the swap... ? for the most part its plug an play right??? i have a complet donor teg.. its got the motor and trans with axels, mounts, harness all the add on shit like starter and altinator... so really if ther is somthing i need to do for sure let a brotha know.. thanks peeps :thumb: if ther is apsolutly nothing that needs modification, call me a retard and tell me to get it done....

o and also i am thinking bout doing a nice DIYb18b swap with pics... the one we have now is really lame imo. so i hope to have a nicely structured one with lots of pics... that way the next guy coming along will have a full walkthrew. :thumb:

im pretty sure u pull the engine n trans out the teg and insert into the civic along with axles and i think u might need to use the t mount from the teg and the other engine mounts and it should be a pretty stright forward swap

i helped my friend put a gsr in his hatch and thats all we did n it went right in

ok kool. thats what i thought... teg ecu, teg harness, and the motor and put in.. sweet cause i have the whole swap... the motor and all. also doing the disc conversion... front and rear :thumb:

Sell the trans and get a B16 or GSR one. The gears in the LS are waaay too long.

ya i will later... i just want to get it in for now so i can get it barred... i have a built ls that i will put in later. its all built right now but i want to get the remaining parts for it. i will putt a gsr or b16 trans on that... right now i just need a fresh motor... the ls only has like 120xxx and runs really nice... plus i do alot of freeway driving so top speed will be nice... but for now it will work till i get my other motor finished... only need the trans, clutch and fly and like a timing belt and a timing belt tensinor.. hehe.. :thumb:

you can use the mounts from the teg. ( dont rember which ones you can leave some of the stock mounts from the civic on) swap the ecu out. then it should all be all good. not shure about harnesses though. I always thouhgt you could keep the stock harness.

oh yeah make shure the b18 is OBD-I

You will need the T mount, stock wiring from the eg will work, all you need is the ecu, motor, trans, axles, and t mount . and its all plug and play.. gl man, and have fun :lol: :thumb: :thumb:

haha ok kool... so i dont have to use the ls harness??? does that mean the ls harness and the stock d15 harness are the same????

yah perty much so if you are gonna do a wire tuck, us the d15 on th motor an chop up the ls one

i beleive one day.. that cali will let you swap your motor witout gettin it barred
