#339255 thanks so much.. this is indeed a most exellent site and forum..the reason is that i need to get a new snap ring..as the one that was initially on got damaged upon removal.. only to discover that one was not supplied by the parts store. so i would like to know if i can use the car until i get the snapring.

#339259 this is true.. the driveshaft does float a bit.. is it possible that this could only be an "ease of installation" ring? u know.. the thing that keeps everything together while putting the boot into place.. but like u said lets not find out..
any damage to my EG would be regretable.. :D
