1992 Honda Civic EG D15B2 distributor leak

Hi, my distrbutor is leaking oil all over my gear box but its leaking into the inside of the dizzy cap then out onto my box

Cammie, you will need to change the oil seal on the Dizzy. You can order from Honda. The cap doesn't look that it has an oil seal around it either. You will need to replace and while you are there, you can do a tune up. Clean first and then replace the parts so you can see if you have a leak again.

a freind stripped it down other day its actually leaking from the rotor arm shaft bearing so looks like new dizzy :/ and tune up ?

hi Cammie, there is a o-ring gasket for the dizzy and you will need to order the o-ring to stop the leak.

They sell the internal o-ring set at autozone. I repaired mine a while back, but the internal wiring started cracking as I moved it around. Be extra careful inside the dizzy because our cars are getting old and the wiring is brittle. The o-ring set was a small challenge to install. Biggest thing is to ensure you get the camshaft connector aligned the correct way.

I had the same problem with brittle wiring.
