I've found a D16Y7 Hydro Transmission for sale for cheap. it's a 5 speed, like my B7 trans. If I get this, will it make any difference in acceleration? Or should I just stick with my B7 trans?

I believe it's going to be about the same gearing as what you have right now.

Only benefit will be that it is most likely ha e lower miles than you current one.
