from what i have researched before,

some people have cooling issues after a block guard.
maybe it was installed incorrectly...i wouldnt know

i have buddies that sleeved the block rather then run a block guard

I personally would never run a block guard. You either sleeve your block or run the CSS. My .02

If your gonna use a block guard, their are two types
the ones to buy and the ones to stay away from

the ones to stay away from

had this type on my engine and it cause cooling problems, the tiny holes were not big enough for the coolant to pass through easily and after time they got a build up of muck and was almost clogged up...

The ones to buy

Golden eagle and black works makes like these, the coolant passages are lot bigger to allow proper cooling, wish i had research block guards when mines went in, I learnt the hard way........

well that my advice to ya if you decide to use a block guard :thumb:
