D15B7 head on D15B2 block

Hey guys, so I recently found out that one of my pistons was bent and has gouged out a notch in one of the cylinder walls. So I think we need to swap the block. So I was wondering if I could just swap in a D15B2 block in place of the B7 block. Would all the mounts line up? Would all of the accessories (power steering, ac, alternator, dizzy, intake mani, exhaust mani) fit right? Also would the B7 transmission work on the B2 block? I would still try to use the B7 head on the B2 block if that's possible since we rebuilt the head completely. Any light on the subject would be greatly appreciated! Thanks fellas :thumb:

Yeah, I don't see any reason why it would not... Just re-use your D15b7 head & intake manifold. :thumb: All the mounts will work. Don't know for sure on the accessories, but I'd bet on it.

Tranny will bolt up but you may need to re-use your D15b7 clutch/flywheel, as I recall the 92+ clutch/flywheel being a slightly larger dia. than the 88-91.
