- Sun Aug 24, 2014 3:52 pm #348217 hey guys I have a 98 DX sedanI know it's not an EG but hear me out it's my brother's car this is daily driver noW there's an issue with it once when it warms up now when I lightly hit the gas and go to accelerate it feels like the trans is slipping and shakes and vibrates only when I first take off could be driving 60 miles an hour hammer the gas and nothing can go up as hill nothing the car doesn't shift hard and there's no check engine light I don't know what it could be ...

- Mon Aug 25, 2014 5:49 pm #348238 Try changing the fluid with new Honda ATF. Also adjust the line pressure connection at the throttle body.

Hopefully you get lucky. Most often when there's a problem it means the clutch packs are worn out and it needs a rebuild. Unfortunately, you can't trust anyone to rebuild it so it's best and far cheaper to get a used imported trans.
