heres my build issue

so get my engine built last night go and turn it over by hand goes a bit the gets hung up ffs head gasket too thin so I take my metal fel pro and a used fiber grafite one torque head down bam turns over np and feeler gauge the space between is about 65 thou so if I went with a cometic hg 70 thou I should be alright?
75mm pistons vitara
fj custom rods
acl bearings
new ported oil pump
new water pump
timing belt
z6 head

was it timed right? I don't think you should have any problems with it rotating it even with a felpro. the custom length rods are longer but they aren't THAT much longer and if I remember correct when using stock rods, the piston sits a good distance below the deck height. sounds weird to me. i'm almost to the point in which i'll be assembling my top end so i'll go through the same process with the exact same parts by this weekend.

dang! I've heard that d15's will stick above the deck height but I didn't know d16's were like that.

perhaps you should have went with standard length rods with vitaras for the d15.

Well $225 for the headgaSket and a 2 week wait life is good lmfao
