- Thu Sep 26, 2013 11:51 pm #337073 hey everyone, just finished dropping a z6 into my eg8, all went well until i started it, shit loads of white smoke, stinks of oil,4 oil soaked plugs, oil on top of all the pistons, oil spitting out the exhaust ports, and irratic idling.







can any one point me in the right direction before i setfire to the car

- Fri Sep 27, 2013 7:00 pm #337106 Make sure you didn't dump 4 quarts of oil into a motor that already had 4 qts in it.

Are the breathers plugged? There's a vacuum hose on the valve cover and a black box on the back of the block under the intake manifold.

- Sun Sep 29, 2013 10:14 pm #337149 no oil in it what so ever a sump was removed to check big end bearings, pcv can was fine and pcv valve was replaced with a new one. just my rotten luck i guess
