Ive got a oil leak on the gearbox side of the oilsump, ive refitted/replaced oilsump and gasket three times and its still happening, no worse and no better.
Ive been told by a few ppl that it'll be the oil seal thats on the crank, behind the plate with four bolts, just behind flywheel.

D16z6 vtec engine

Ive check around web and sertain sites, but gave up.

Does anyone know if there is a write up, or can they tell me, do i have to take the crank shaft off to replace seal? Or can i slide it over carefully??!

Id really appreciate the help/info

Thanks
Jaz

It think what you are talking about is called the rear main seal. I replaced mine about 3 months ago when I changed my clutch.

you have to remove the oil pan, the clutch and the fly wheel.
