I have the opportunity to buy a built d15b non v-tec from my cousin. Is it worth replacing my d16z6? and if it is, is it hard to make it a d15b vtec?
also what type of tranny do you hook up to the d15b ?

So it's a D15b7 then? What has he done to make it built? All 92-00 D series trannys are interchangeable :thumb:

non its not a d15b7 , it says d15b and the head says 1.59L non vtec and i dont know really. just seeing if the engine itself is worth it.

You could always put a vtec head on it and do a mini-me swap. But it's hard to say without knowing what he has done to the motor to build it or exactly what kind of engine it is.

Are the spark plugs on the back of the valve cover? Is the intake MPFI? Some pics will help :thumb:

i bet hes thinking of the non vtec version of the jdm d15b and since the z6 is already a vtec i would stick with that
