#302062 Check engine light at all?

Could be a lot of things causing it obd-I has a trick problem with sensors, since they read in voltage and as long as it is not way out of parameters then it will not throw a code. Where as odb-II cars would.

I found that the MAP sensor on the throttle body seems to control where the rev limiter is. I had the same issue with my z6 last year and no CEL and tested the map and replaced and could go back up to red line again.

#302066 Should just unbolt and you can put a volt meter on it I just can't remember the specs or which pins you would have to look at a manual for that info.

I believe it would but I would check to make sure the part numbers are the same before using another one from a different block code.

#302181 I believe its a p06 ecu... cel comes on while idling... but hasnt in id say bout 3 months... its always just revved to 5500 im pretty sure... just never rlly noticed til now
