i just got my d15b and its a total POS,it didnt come with all the parts,the pullys were chewed up,distributer cap was broke,there was a lot of charcol build up in the throdle body,and they say there is 25-30,000 miles on it

did you contact them yet? I'd like to hear their response to that mess

yes me too, ive actually looked at them too to order my b16....sounds like they arnt the company to buy from.

me 2! i dont know what its like in the states but over here... if you buy something thats wasnt as it was advertised there are legal steps you can take to get ya money back.

thats crazy i talked to a couple of peeps that bough from them say they were pretty good to deal with

ya i got mine from hmotorsonline and the engine is good, one of my axles was seized up and a motor mount was broken but for the most part the motor was clean and it runs nice!

yea i heard they were good from one guy,i called them and started flipin out,i was so pissed off and i still am and they were like were gonna charge me for shipping,i said fk that ur either sending me a motor that has the actually miles that it sais on it and dont send me a motor that looks like it came straight out the junk yard,i mean the valve cover was chewed up,the alternator looks like its got 200K on it,it didnt come with the ac compresor,(i was gonna rip it out anyway but i was gonna sell it)like when i order stuff and it sais its gonna be there it better,the power steering pully was all chewed up and everything was choped off just like junkyards do it,there was half an axle on one side of the tranny and it was plasma cut off.but now they said after 30 min of arguing that if theres as many problems as i say they will pay for shipping and send me a new one.i was originally gonna get mine from hmotors and they were out of the trannys so i rushed into it and got it for 200 bucks cheaper but i guess you get what you pay for

it just really sucks not being able to drive my honda,especially after all the shit people talk about them,i just wanna get it built and boosted and go but i gotts wait and im getin anxious and cant wait.plus i hate drivin an automatic car.and its a ford at that

My motor cam as clean as it is now. Great customer service and good prices. Send the motor back and get a full refund and buy from HMO.

Your situation may be an extreme case but it's actually very common that all JDM engines will have:

broken tps
broken distributer cap
broken map sensor
cut spark plug wires
broken injector plugs
broken starter mounts
no ps pump
no alternator
no ac compressor
downpipe will be crushed
dented oil pan
axles cut or missing
all harnesses/hoses cut
scratched valve cover
chipped crank pulley
paint pen all over the damn motor

Also, the injectors are typically clogged from sitting on a salty dock or riding across the ocean. Sometimes parts on the motor will be lightly rusted.

The reason for this is because the engines are stacked one on top of the other and loaded into crates. Trucks/cranes get the crates to a ship, and that ship takes a long voyage across the pacific. Then it's yanked out, put on a pallet, and shipped out. A very bumpy ride indeed.

Most shops have crates coming in from a supplier and they have no idea what's in it exactly.

Hmotors is always sold out due to their popularity. I am real happy with a place I found in Anaheim called Soken SKN. They can be found on ebay.

H MOTORS....... their shop is 15 mins away from my hosue.. its Honda heaven.. in there.. B D H K F series.. anything u want.. theres a jdm civic eg chilling inside there.. RHD..
