tranny yes, wires for the most part, ecu no, engine mounts yes, youll have to wire your car for vtec. its really not hard at all

you'll have to run 2 wires to your ECU and 1 ground wire.
Using a P28, you'll have to do the same wiring that you would for a Mini-me swap.
There's wiring details in the mini-me swap thread:

d16y8 is an OBD2 motor. if you're looking for the easiest swap, stick with something from 92-95 (obd1)

If you are putting a D16y8 in a 92-95 civic, you will need the engine harness from a OBD1 sohc vtec, Dizzy from a 92-95 DX and a P28 ecu. That way you will keep OBD1 and still run good.

I used to have this motor in my 93 Si.

Get your self I have had both the D16z6(boosted) stock internals, it was fun and the kit and all the tuning was like 1500! And now i have a jdm DOHC ZC and i LOVED it, it just felt good, nice hp and tq for a DD, so maybe a jdm DOHC ZC, and there like $750 with a tranny!
