Good build. I just took my D16Z6 out with over 250k on it. I just used the engine harness off of that. No problems, great engine. Im thinking of building my Z6. The cylinder walls are perfect, no scoring

The 1st 20-30 miles r the most crucial. that's where the rings have to be sealed properly...

yup just hit 50 miles today
changing the oil soon
i gave her plenty of break in revs dont worry
read upon how to seat them
best way ever to break in a motor with new rings
GIVE IT RPMS!
i drove it like a 2 stroke basically
brought it upto 6k slowly not even half throttle then let it slow down to like 2 or 3k then do it again
i had afriend drive behind me to see how much smoke there was
he said there was alot when i first pulled out but after the first tim i let it decompress he said there was nothing
so im thinking iv sealed em good
going easy on it as far as throttle goes but after 500 miles or so im giving it hell
if it can stand up to a beating shes good to go :thumb:

for the jdm d15b, you want to use rings for an obd2 d-series, like d16y5/7/8.
obd1 rings are 1.2mm thick and obd2 rings are 1mm thick.

So can you use all d16y5/7/8 for the d15b bottom end? like the thrust bearings. this shit keeps confusing me man.
