#211536 you are wrong my friend
vtec is controlled by oil pressure
so therfore it can engage at any rpm as long as it has the corect oil pressure and i have had vtec on a switch and it does nothing
you need the computer to activate the fuel and air ratios
you can controll it with said vafc but you have to set the fuel air ratios your self
p.s. if you have beef with me pm me dont correct me just cause iv said something wrong in another post

#218445 mechanical? or spark timing
both are poossible but advancing your mechanical timing will do notthing but make ur engine run like shit haha
ignition / spark timing you can advance but you will be bogging at lower rpms

#218446 I meant the ignition timing
Im already bogging at lower rpms so nvm
I think its due to the 2.5' exhaust

#218534 maybe
i would try toplay with timing a bit
try driving it with the dizzy all the way advanced
and then all the way retarted
see wich you like and if it helps keep it that way :thumb:

#218578 its fine to advance or retard it all the way its spark timing not mechanical you cant really mess anything up
and its a stock motor so you will be fine

#243355 Hi,. I'm new here, also new to motor swaps as well. I'm wondering and hoping you guys can help. I know it's been a while since someone replied here. I own a automatic 92 civic dc sedan. I really want to swap out the d15b7 out of there and put in the jdm d15. Can I use the same motor mounts? And any other info will be helpful thanks.

#243408 as long as the motor is the same series as whats in the car ( ie d series in your case) everything is a direct bolt in :thumb:
you can start a new thread for these types of questions or better yet do some searching on google
