#210109 Ok well I aquired a gasket but the throttle control sensor is still broken so im going to use the D15b7 throttle body.

#210415 ok heres what you should do
swap the throttle postion sensor from the d15b7 to the d15b
might be a littlt tricky but it can be done
take a dremel tool and cut a slit in the topof the stud that hold the tps on then use a flathead and un screw the stud andswap it in to the d15b throttle body

#210449 Ok lets see.
Well in the meantime I got my throttle body gasket.
I put the d15b7 throttle body on the d15b.
My stock ecu popped for some reason. It died
Connected my p28
And she fired right up :D

I have a check engine light on of course
I still need to wire vtec but right now she drives :D

#210775 Very nice writeup. I dropped in my Jdm D15b vtec about a month ago. Unfortunately money is the only thing stoppingme from completing my build. I will post pics etc of my build once completed. again I like this right up and have already bookmarked it.

#211479 Im running a p28 on my D15b vtec
Instead of running a p08

Does this mean Vtec activates at 4800 rpm instead of 5500 rpm?

#211532 vtec does not activate at any certain rpm it depends on speed what oil you are using and what kind of load then engine is under
vtec activates between 4800 and 5500
but the difrence between the po8 and p28 is very small you wont even notice

You are wrong sir. VTEC is set to activate at a certain RPM it's controlled by an electronic solenoid that activates the switch when a certain RPM is reached. Which is why you can control the engagement point with a VAFC, by chipping the ECU, or you can even put it on a switch (don't believe me about the switch check this out.
