Photos of 2015 STi leaked ahead of Detroit debut

Ahead of a planned debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week, photos of the wild new 2015 Subaru WRX STI have leaked out.

No details slipped out along with the photos, but the car is expected to retain its turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer 4-cylidner engine making around 300 hp.

As for what we can glean from the photos, the STI comes with all of the usual kit including a wider body, massive rear spoiler and larger wheels. Of course, in true Subaru fashion, those wheels are painted gold and really pop on the trademark blue paint.

Other upgrades are certain to include beefier brakes, an improved suspension and a more advanced all-wheel drive system from the standard WRX model.

Look at the 2nd shot again and tell me you don't see EVO in it.

It's an aggressive look, I love it. But I see the trend across all new cars.. i swear they are all starting to look alike.
