I currently own this 2001 Double Cab Prerunner and love it. It has roughly 280k mi on it and runs like a top. I have also owned a 2-'85 2wd and a 86 4wd. I have amibitions to one day build a 84-88 2wd with a 7MGTE.

The 01 Model Taco is my favorite, right after the current UK model Hilux (one pictured above that Top Gear took the to North Pole/ Iceland Volcano

Heres mine. My family owns a lot of thes toy yodas. My brothers mad about them.
He has owned over thirteen. An my dad took on his own project from swapping a 88 shell to a 84 straight axle chassis.
He totally rebuilt the engine an portted it with a lot of extra goodies.
Playing in the mud with my old 88. gotta love Idaho's play grounds.

I Miss my old '89 Toyota Pickup. Some Day I will get another one.

it still has stock push/pull steering but i have
ifs power steering box that goes with it
transfer case has Front Range offroad twinstick
Procomp 4" suspension lift
2" 4crawler body lift on the cab
home made lift on the bed
Runs good, ride is stiff but not to bad

I can't seem to find the time to use this
and have lost interest in it and don't
want to leave it sit in the garage
frame is typical 25 year old toyota
coated the frame with POR15

Quite great vehicle! Oh wait I cant find my photos of my friend's tacoma.. errr.... and by the way, looks like a muddy vehicles..
