- Wed Nov 17, 2010 4:48 am #223260 I currently own this 2001 Double Cab Prerunner and love it. It has roughly 280k mi on it and runs like a top. I have also owned a 2-'85 2wd and a 86 4wd. I have amibitions to one day build a 84-88 2wd with a 7MGTE.

He has owned over thirteen. An my dad took on his own project from swapping a 88 shell to a 84 straight axle chassis.
He totally rebuilt the engine an portted it with a lot of extra goodies.
Playing in the mud with my old 88. gotta love Idaho's play grounds.

I'm really thinking about buying it and selling my HX even though I'd probably be lucky to get 20 MPG vs the 40 my HX gets.

22R engine 5 speed 166000 mi.
35"Cepek Mud Country tires with less than 2000 mi.
5.29 yukon gears in the axles

IFS rear axle w/ARB air locker
Front axle has a Aussie locker
Sky offroad widening kit with IFS hubs
land cruiser vented rotors and v6 calipers
it still has stock push/pull steering but i have
ifs power steering box that goes with it
transfer case has Front Range offroad twinstick
Procomp 4" suspension lift
2" 4crawler body lift on the cab
home made lift on the bed
Runs good, ride is stiff but not to bad

I can't seem to find the time to use this
and have lost interest in it and don't
want to leave it sit in the garage
frame is typical 25 year old toyota
coated the frame with POR15
