- Sat Jul 19, 2008 7:19 am #62569 Alright, I'm in need of some help. She hasn't been running for a while. When I bought it, the dude who sold it to me had just put a D16Y7 from a '99 with 90K in.

We drove it home about 2 hours just fine. When we were about 30 minutes from home the car started to make a sort of clicking noise and then ceased to be. The car would no longer turn over or even attempt to from this point.

We got it home (had to call the tow truck ) and were trying to determine what was wrong. We still had power to everything so we tried to toy with it. When we would turn the key it would make a loud almost click or pop and then do nothing.

Though when the key was turned and after the loud single click noise one of the ground wires on the car would begin to produce a bit of smoke. Any help is appreciated. I just want to get her running strong again.
