#337081 but with that being said im going to hopefully pick up a Y7 block tomorrow...but im still debating on if i should upgrade and go B series or completely re-finish the block im getting so i know it will last and be reliable

either way im picking up the Y7 block cuz if i go B series i will be able to get more money with a FULL running D swap than a head and trans separated....OORR like i stated before i will go ahead and get the crank polished and if it needs to be cut ill do that and i will be getting new oil pump, piston rings, etc

#337790 haven't posted anything on here in a while since i had no car for the time..but i got some updates for you guys :thumb:

so like i said last time about the Y7 block..i never picked it up cuz when i was checking it out i noticed the block had a hair line crack in it so there went that sale :x ...so i had to go on the hunt again for something and i finally came across something :thumb: :thumb:

i ended up buying a D16Z6 motor...the head was fresh out the machine shop and he says the block was refinished as well and the motor has a brand new 6 puck clutch and everything has about 1000 miles on it...i paid $550 for it all

so far the motor runs good i had to do a valve adjustment on it cuz it had a ruff idle but its good now and as far as i know its not burning any oil so i hope he did refinish the block

here are some pics of it all

purple valve cover is my old motor

#338186 so ive got a big update for you guys...

the motor i bought from the guy was bad....the block started to knock after about two day :x :x :x :x

so i went ahead and rebuilt another Z6 block and swapped over the3 head and trans to my new block

parts list/machine work is as follows

-brand new crank with matching bearings and rod replacement $400
-OEM oil pump from Honda $140
-OEM water pump from Honda $65
-OEM timing belt from Honda $40
-Hastings piston rings (std. bore) $35
-honed out cylinders (did my self)
-new oil pan $75
-ARP head studs $110
-ALL the seals and gaskets in the lower end (head gasket, rear main seal, oil pan gasket etc. etc.) all about $75

so basically the bottom end is brand new 8) 8) :thumb:

i have put about 70 miles on it so far and everything seems to be running awesome..the car started right up with out any hesitation on its first start up...it sounds like its running really healthy so far ill try and get a video but for the time being here are some pics i took during the process and a few of the finished product :thumb: :thumb: hope you enjoy

i painted the block and transmission to make them look nice as well :thumb:
