#49782 the head will drop right in. You will need a new intake manfiold that fits the ITR/B16A heads. Your GSR intake manifold will no longer fit.

As far as ECU goes, you can either run a GSR but it will not be optimal. A chipped ECU that is tuned to your setup will be the best as you plan to upgrade cams. Be sure to upgrade your springs/retainers as well if you are getting cams so you can get the most out of your cam without worrying about dropping valves due to broken retainers.

#49965 I don't know what ECU you're running now?

Probably a P28 or P30 with a GSR map on it, and an OBD2>OBD1 conversion?
Or did you convert the car to OBD2...

Whatever it is, make sure you convert the car and engine to OBD1, and have it tuned by a proffessional (I can already tell you're not by your questions).

There is NOT ONE STOCK ECU that will make your car run safely after all your mods (Type-R head + cams + high compression pistons).
Run any stock ECU, and your engine is dead within a few miles.
