In 1 all encompassing post my 3 year journey.
When I turned 16 I headed into Chicago and bought a 1994 EX 5 speed. It was listed at 4,500$ and I got it for $1,800 out the door.
Initial repairs (Dec. 2006)
Clutchmasters FX300
Fidanza 7lb Flywheel
New axles
new ball joints
new fuses to get my headlights working haha
Initial Mods (Dec. 2006)
AC autotechnic gauge over lays
Polk db6500 components
JVC arsenal 770
DC header
Skunk2 test pipe
Skunk2 dual bend short shifter
Skunk2 weighted shift knob
rear tweeters
Then i started saving my money and researching turbo d's and reading at turbod16.com
The following summer (2007) i started collecting parts
and over spring break (2008) my junior year in HS I started to install
Garrett t3 .48/60 rebuilt from blaast
SPoolin log/down/dump package
SRE IC pipes
Ebay FMIC
Tial 38mm
Synapse Synchronic BOV
BDL fuel rail
RC 440
Aeromotive FPR
Walbro 255HP
Hondata s300
AEM boost solenoid
Eagle vaccum mani
NKG BKR7E plugs
Prosport gauges (boost, oil temp, oil press.)
GLoshift oil sandwich adapter
Paragon performance oil lines
RSR EXmag
Cat delete pipe
Omni 4 bar MAP
along with EBC redstuff break pads
Car was in a hit and run and so i picked up a bumper from the Pick N' Pull. also picked up SI rims. Pulled a spoilerless trunk lid off the same vehicle
replaced input shaft bearing and wheel bearing
May 2009 - honda rot was getting really bad. Premium fuel was 4.25 a gallon. So i undertook my own body work and uninstalled the turbo.
Couldn't get it finished before i left for college (August 2009) so now summer of 2010 the car is presently at Maaco getting the sanding finished and painted Milano Red. hopefully have it back by monday/tuesday june 7th.
thats all.
future plans.
front lip and side molding + paint.
debating whether i should put the turbo back on. it had over heating issues so i would have to get a new radiator. i would also redo the IC piping and get a smaller turbo. and actually tune it this time. shooting for 225whp.
Now I am a sophomore at the University of Illinois in Agricultural Engineering with no money
