#151476 Here's a couple shots of my whip.. I've had her for 4 years and made a lot of changes. Originally, she was for the local scene, then regional. I'm about to start the next evolution for national/international (since I'm about to move to Italy). Will be stripping, installing a fully built ITR, carbon everything, new paint, rims,..pretty much everything will be touched. Hope you enjoy!

Oh, currently it's a D15B7, stock internals, running 10psi. It's also a 1-seater and completely empty right now from dash to trunk.

#151488 lol.. sorry bout that. It was just quick and easy for me to do since I was already on that site. If you go to one of the links at the bottom.., either cardomain or evasiveillusions.com, you should hopefully have access. I can get cardomain at work, but they finally started blocking the evasive site.

#151495 Sorry, but I love'em.. You two are actually the only two to ever say it's rice. Call it what you want, but it was a cover shot car for DropJawMagazine in '05, rice and all I guess.

I agree that the fenders are crap, but they're better than what was already on there and they came painted extra with the car. I like the tails, but I would prefer them to be smoked/black. Lights and lambos are there for life.. This isn't a JDM build, it's my build. So critics, please keep that in mind. I'll take constructive all day, but rice comments are an easy way out of that.

#151505 props for a boosted SOHC
i dont like the tail lights, smoke them like you said and they probably wouldn't look half bad
as for the doors

edit: i know everyone here has seen that picture, but it fits the situation perfect.

#151539 Yeah, the lambo pic has been around for a bit.. I used to have that on my background at work! But after owning a car WITH lambos.. I really do enjoy them. I guess don't knock it until you try it, and some things just aren't for everyone.

As for the D15 @ 10psi.. never made it to the track. Shortly after I got it boosted and tuned, the damn inspection sticker expired (I counted 13 tickets I could've gotten, so no, it wouldn't pass inspection). Then my tags expired.. Couldn't renew them because of the inspection! I started prepping my SBC swapped S10 for the summer shows (made it into DropJawMagazine) and now I got orders to Iraq, so I'm selling the S10 and putting my baby in storage!

My tuning was done by Dyno Inc., who just went out of business I found out last night. My man Tim said that 10psi on stock internals was okay, but to put it past that was when it gets dangerous. A year later and I haven't had a single problem out of it yet (looking for some wood to knock on..). With an F1 stage 1 racing clutch and 8lb flywheel running royal purple, it put me at 170whp.

I of course went looking for a GSR to run and see where I stood. Before I could snag one, a friend in a pontiac solstice hit me up.. He claimed 177hp, so I said lets roll! We finally agreed on a 50 roll and hit the gas. He immediately shot ahead like a rocket easily several car lengths, but as soon as the boost came, I reeled him in. I would love to have seen him explain to some honda guys how a D15 beat him. lmao!

#151546 yeah, i just finally found a use for the picture, it fits the car good though.
170 on a d15b7 is impressive. especially with stock internals, would have loved to see it on the track, probably would have been a blast.
if its lasted a year, i wouldn't change a thing with it.
did you rebuild it or anything before you boosted? if not how many miles were on it when you started boost?

good luck in iraq though.

#151752 It was a J-spec drop-in for $375, about 40k when I got it, bout 62k when I boosted. I never touched it other than installing the turbo. Oh, also added DSM turbo injectors and a crappy OBX-R fuel rail for the required fuel upgrade. I installed a 255lph fuel pump. It ran on no tune/virtually no boost long enough to get home, then it started flooding. I removed the pump and it ran fine. Even when they dyno'd it tim told me it pulled harder than any D15 he'd ever tuned before. I enjoy the hell outta the engine, just wish I didn't have to get rid of it when I get the 1.8, it's fun!

#151774 I love it like I said, and maybe I'll actually build one down the road.., who knows, maybe I can teach my son on one. Either way, I'm sure I'll find it a good home. There's just way too many limitations for the D-Series, and I'm ready to step to the next level. I considered and even priced a K-frank, and looked into the J-series, but I can make madd horses out of a B-series and save money in the end. It has a ton of support and the last thing I need going overseas is high-priced replacement parts! I'm already looking at about $12-15k under the hood, so then it's off to find the best deals and start buying right before I get back from the desert.

And speaking of all this.. I need to crank her up! It's been about 2 weeks.. She's not moving too much because of the air ride I'm working on, but I'm about to take all that back off since she's going in storage. Last thing I need is to let other people start playing with it while I'm gone and break stuff! VVVVRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.. Yep, still alive.
