Piggyback Fuel Controllers.

I've been looking at a few different controllers and i'm trying to decide whether to go with the AEM FIC or A'pexi AFC Neo. Anyone using these and if so how has your experience been with them so far? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

OBD 1 or OBD 2 ? (I'm assuming OBD 1 but I hate assuming)
OBD 1 save your money and chip your computer.
OBD 2 convert to OBD 1 (using adapter harness) and chip your computer.
When using some these piggy backs you have problems with ignition timing (advance and retard).
Or you can spend a lot of money getting a standalone that in the long run would do enough.
