last parts........ but where from

im throwin the charger on this week but before i do i need a block guard and arp head studs. where should i purchase these from.if good prices and costumer service experienced let me know. its a jdm d15b vtec.

try some local shops - they might hook youup on the price.

after a bit more research the overall consesus is that blockguards arent worth it. they cause warping and hotspots. so for now jus the headstuds. ill do a seperate thread on bg's.

jegs has good prices on head studs... competitive to everywhere else... and shipping is very qucik... thats where ive bought all my sets from...

yeah i found that and they ship fast too. thats probably where ill go.

fj distributors for ARP studs, you will want the D16Z6 ones.
but regular head bolts should be ok for a JRSC setup.
blockguards are to keep the cylinders in place, not an issue with Honda motors because of less crank offset than some motors.

yea but he just wants to play it safe for now so hes buying the best of the best for the single cam..... that way nothing will go wrong in the long run....

Yeah but people run 300whp Ds on stock sleeves with no guard all day too. He's not going to make anywhere near that much power on a JRSC set up, so he's really got nothing to worry about, and the block guard may cause cooling issues down the road, so it could turn out to be more trouble than it's worth.

I have friends making 450-550 on stock sleeves all day everyday. You'll be okay
Go to honda and buy OEM head bolts. they are around $35-40 bucks for all of them and they work better than arp's. Same cars listed above are on oem ones
