Not quite. QSD's h2b kit uses b series flywheel, disc, and plate. It has a spacer the exact thickness of the adapter plate, then you bolt on whatever b series clutch you want. Right now I have a Fidanza 8lb flywheel from my 94 integra gsr. If you were to use the evolution kit, then your forced to use their clutch setup though.

#322681 QSD kit > Evo. Why because with the evo kit you HAVE to use the flywheel and mounts that come with the kit. Numerous complaints about shifting issues and only pro over qsd is that it fits under hood w/o any hood risers/modded stock hood

Exactly. I'd much rather keep the oem transmission location, mount locations, and axles. Pretty much cram in the motor and leave everything where it was.

In other news the clutch comes in on the 2nd or 3rd of Jan so the motors gotta come out soon. I want to regrease the steering rack, fix muffler rattle, fix gas gauge, fix idle, change the clutch disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, regrease the input shaft on the tranny/throw out fork/slave cylinder pivot, resurface the fidanza flywheel, change the breaks, fix the ebrake, and finally wash it! ALL in 2 or 3 days. shit :)
^More of a list for me than you

#322688 my friends cb7 accord is getting a fresh wire tuck, engine bay shaving, k24 from a tsx with a 6 speed.

#323447 So the new clutch came in a few days ago
Image

Then when I was draining the transmission oil, i noticed there was a tonnn of aluminum in it
Image

So i took out the transmission, popped off the diff seal, and all these pebble sized aluminum chunks came out
Image

And the gsr transmission is a goner. luckily I found an ls transmission for sale on the cheap so I installed the clutch then the new transmission out of a 99 integra ls

No pics of it finished yet but i cant wait to test drive it tomorrow. sooo sick of driving the jeep

#323616 so I was driving this morning about 250 miles into the break-in period for the clutch and I came half way up a steeeeeep hill and had to stop for a flag man at a road work stop, forcing me to do a hill start on a huge incline with a soccer mom mini van about an inch behind me. As i let out the clutch the whole car started to shudder and shake (almost like wheel hop) for about 40ft. I know the clutch was slipping bad but there was no other way out of it, or anyway i could have possibly been softer with it. Im praying i didnt ruin a brand new clutch but every time I'm letting out the last 90% of the clutch travel, the car does a tiny shudder/shake even on flat ground, but its fine when the car is up to speed.

So idk what to do. What do you guys think? Is it a goner? do I keep the break-in going and just roll with it for now?

yeah the more i read about it, the more normal it seems. someone i talked to said that all those style clutches do that, but does yours engage smoothly now? Or does it have some chatter still?

#323822 i have like 15,000 miles on the clutch and it still chatters but not half as bad. just mildly. i had worn out stock motor mounts on the car when i first installed the clutch and when it would chatter it would shake very violently i was afraid something would break so i got a set of Innovatives to sturdy things up a bit

#324331 So i took apart the gsr transmission and noticed that all the aluminum that was floating around in the diff was actually from the webbing on the driver side of the diff. Im able to take the spider gear in the differential and wobble it wayyy too much, which would allow the teeth that mate to the mainshaft wobble inside the transmission, allowing it to then chew at the bell housing. I believe this is because i didnt grind enough metal off the back of the h22, causing the intermediate shaft to stress the diff at a bad angle. I hate to say it but this ls tranny is bs and i want my gsr gearing back. Can I use the Ls diff, and gsr gearing? or would i need the ls mainshaft, ls diff, gsr gears? what about the gsr counter shaft? Any help would be appreciated.

TL;DR
-have ls and gsr full trannys
-gsr housing and diff are shot
-want to use gsr gears in ls

heres a pic of what got chewed up in the housing.

#324342 From what i could find so far my plan is...

-Gsr mainshaft and Gsr gears
-Ls countershaft and Gsr gears
-Ls differential and Ls ring gear

sooo will this work? I need some b series transmission gurus here

#328423 Forgot to update the past few months.
Picking up where I left off, I ended up buying a 2001 integra ls transmission, swapping my gsr 1,2,3 and 4th gears and kept the LS 5th gear for gas milage/stealth mode near cops.

It's def not perfect though, it likes to slide out of 2nd and 4th gear when im not lightly holding it in gear, when I'm neither accelerating nor decelerating. If im on the gas it stays in, engine braking it stays in, as well as just holding the shifter.

Next plan for this summer is to get a 95-2000 manual crv and go awd in the hatch, the question I hope someone can answer is: Can I use my 96 Jdm h22, qsd h2b kit, and the crv awd manual transmission? I recall someone gsr swapping into the crv so i dont know why it wouldn't bolt up to the h2b kit? Right now I'm researching how to swap the drivetrain and it doesn't seem outrageously difficult. Need some more practice with the welder though.

Thoughts?
