#303249 Hey all! well I've been saying for ages I was going to get round to posting my build on here so thought it was about time I did..

It's a 93 1.3DX EG hatch.

The builds been going on for a while now less talking more posting!!

How I bought her:

And the rust on ths sil, to be honest its not that bad.. There is 2 holes, 1 is the size of a bottle top and the other the size of a tennis ball, the arches aren't bad at all.. For an EG that is.

The bigger hole in the sil:

The smaller hole in the sil, both are drivers side:

Other rust:

And then came the stripping of the interior!:

Also tucked the wires that were in the back:

Sound deadening removal!!!!!! Was actually quite easy:

Thats it up to date really, the bay is in the process of being grinded and sanded also filling the spot welds to make it smoother then primer and a fresh shoot of D2 purple for the bay!

Image

I'm going to break this up as I'm copying it from other forums.

Much love lads!

#303251 The engine bay is smooth now and been shot with green ti primer, it needs wet n dried and some parts of it need going over with some culluplast and then primered again so we can get on with the paint.

We should of been along today but we we're that much off our face last night on filler dust and fumes we woke up with a hangover (We hadn't been drinking) I was even sick in the bath when I got in..

Any way pictures

Interior holes filled and sanded:

Gazebo = Epic spray booth!

Bare in mind it still needs wet sanded and primered again.

Image

Also I have taken the headlights apart and giving them a good clean and prepped them for paint.

And the flocked dash..

Also went and picked up a set of new wheels for the old girl

A set of 15'' Mugen NR in white, fully forged about 5kg's with tyres.

Image

I'm in love with them, they will soon be getting refurbed then boxed up and put away

We got the sub frame off, sand blasted and powdercoated.. Came out great! but I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Image

I have also sent some supension parts off to be sand blasted and powdercoated so I'm expecting them back soon.

The full underside of the car is now stripped, all the brake lines, fuel lines, petrol tank etc are now all off. Had to fight thru about 2" of underseal to get to some of the bolts!

And we also painted 1 of my wings the colour I have chosen to see what it is like on biggish bit of metal.. So out comes the epic spray boothe known as GAYzebo!

During the painting (Ignore the bedding -.-')

And on the car.

Image

I'm personally in love, it has came out so much better then I expected and can't wait for a full professional respray with carbon goodies

Oh before I forget, all the painting done on the car to date has been done by JDM_Lenny on here <3

Thanks for reading!

#310468 Hey all been a long time since I've updated this and to be honest, sadly not a lot more has been done

I've been busy at work, and lack of funds due to saving for the donor car, however there are some updates, I finished the headlights and 'butchered' my front bumper.

Less of the chatter more pics!

So we will start off with the headlights:

I started by plastic primerering them:
Image

I then painted them with Satin Black:
Image

Putting them back together took longer then I thought.. What a nightmare!
Image

This is the only picture I have on my computer of them back together, take no notice of the random car crap.
Image

Now for the bumper!

I started with 1 of these, a facelift EK bumper
Image

Which I then took a grinder to!

I also did the same with my EG bumper
Image

A few more snips later and I had it looking like this
Image

Getting there! You can probably see where this is going.. :p
Image

Finally once I have them the right sizes it was time to do what I call 'plastic weld' which looks a little like this..
Image

This is pretty much where we are up to on it at the moment
Image

It should be finished very soon, so we shall get some pics up when its finished.

And yes thats JDM_Lenny's EG ;)

Thanks for reading, sorry there hasn't been much done.
