#287491 Thanks guys.

I have a crank scraper still I need to install as well as the ignition, traqmate and other random items. Im looking for about 165+ to the wheels I hope at a minimum. The motor I used to have was around 200whp but that was a more heavily modded gsr. I need to get this motor somewhere near 165 to 170 without port matching and an over bore of the cylinders. Class whp target is close to 190whp but I dont think anyone will get there without spending ungodly amounts of money within the allowed rules.

Videos I have uploaded so far in 1080p or you can run them in 720 but below that starts to look crappy.

First time really pushing the car hard since I have made all the changes and the first time on a true race tire. I have a lot to work on at this track and in general, I didn't even attempt heel/toe out there because there was just too much for me to deal with for the first time lol.

I'm slow but that can improve, I just need to get more seat time now. The motor was smoking at idle and when I blipped the throttle but on the track it didn't smoke at all. I think the culprit was too much oil because by the end of the weekend it wasn't as bad. Oil cooler holds a quart I think which allows you to easily over fill.

Roebling Road Darkside event November 2011 - YouTube

I think I ran my faster times in this group

This run I was trying to wait for my friends that caught up with me in the end and then the camera shut off. The delsol that pulls out in front of me at the end in primer was my friend and ex SCCA F Production champion in the SAARC so needless to say he walks me with 50 less hp at the wheels lol.

#295185 I finished the car for the most part. I attended the SCCA Buccaneer region Double Drivers school at Roebling road in Savannah, GA. I highly recc. this school if you are wanting to get your license so you can club race with SCCA.

I posted the fastest time in my group and placed 2nd in the first race and 1st in the second race.

It wasnt all glory lol this was a bit scary at almost 100 mph. Damp track, a little bit too much steering input and lifted a little too much.

#295218 Great build, wondering what wheels are those the mag blue ones? and do you know where you got the oil filter sandwich the orange one been looking around for one myself.

Great videos

#295246 Thanks, the blue wheels are konig heliums that were painted that mag blue color. I got them on trade so i dont know the paint color. I will probably leave them like this for now but they are chipping so may need to strip them and repaint or powdercoat.

I got the oil cooler parts from ebay, but beware they are not the best quality which is why I ended up getting a different block adapter.

This is the exact kit I got. I ended up replacing a handful of things just for piece of mind.

#295287 I see I am the same way, so where did you locate the sensors for the gauges if you switched the oil sandwich adapter?

#295290 I have the remote sandwich still, I replaced the one on the back of the block.

I also tapped the block so I have an oil psi reading at the oil sandwich and the block because Im anal and wanted to see both readings to make the best decision on oil weights. I also have the warning light inline with the block psi triggering at 20 psi.

The oil cooler setup will change your psi plus or minus depending on the lines size, so its not something to just throw in there and not monitor.

I ended up sticking with a 10-30 synthetic Amsoil Dominator race oil after testing some different Mobil 1 weights. The psi is about 90 at WOT in the 7500-8k range which is satisfactory for me.

Could you take some pictures of your rear view mirror?

#295404 I guess it bolts to the roll cage?
By known
#295405 Yeah, I assume you could fab something up pretty easily without having a roll cage.

#295984 why do u need so massive roll cage .. could have saved some kg's on it

SCCA / NASA rule book states you have to have a certain items in your role cage for a particular classes. looks to be chromoly tubing so it shouldn't be much more than 100 to 200 lbs worth of weight which is not a lot compared to steel cages.

Yes like Ej1 said, when you club race you have to follow rules especially in the safety department. Hans device, fire equipment, sfi nomex gloves, boots, suit, socks, blah blah look at the GCR from SCCA or the CCR from NASA if you really want to look.

The roll cage is 1.5x.095 DOM steel. The crhomoly is overkill unless you really need to save weight which in my case Im still under weight for class

The cage still only added about 180 lbs or so.

Im looking at some new suspensions, Im thinking about possibly getting a very nice setup with remote reservoirs with a monotube design.

JRZ is really out of the price range I want but you never know what deals are out there for lightly used sets.

BC Racing ER

Eibach R2 Pro

Koni which really is last on my list for their race shocks

I have been trying to get some sponsorship help on suspension but I havent heard back form anyone yet.
