I'm just now updating this, but I blew a hole in my block and ended up selling my hatch.
As of now I bought a stock 99 Civic LX with a weak D16Y7, and slowly building a poor mans R. I have a GSR block with my B16A head, Skunk2 rods, and floating USDM Type R pistons. I'm wanting to build to motor for 200+ hp for a nice daily driver.
This was the last time I got to be with my hatch and was waiting on the trailer to pick it up.
Now for the carnage, the hole was on cylinder #3, the rod split in half and stuck in the crank.
This is half of the big end of the rod, it was completely smashed.
The rod bearing is stuck
This is the rod cap that came off because a rod bolt stretched, and broke.
The piston took some damage as well and it even cracked almost all the way around
your car is your story, dont let someone else write the book.
