Speedo sticking!

Hey guys for some reason my speedo sticks on 40mph then eventually it will unstick and continue also think it's abit out so I could be doing 40 when the speedo says Im doing 50 but not 100% sure on this though is there any way to check if the speedo is out and also to stop it from sticking on 40mph any ideas guys?

Sounds like the cluster is stuck. I know you can take them apart. Its probably just worn or sticking from gunk build up over years. I personally don't like messing with the clusters. I would suggest looking for another with a good speedo. Plus that will tell you if its the cluster or the sensor on the trans.

I will keep an eye out for another cluster then but thanks for your advice.
