You should be able to get any covers off with a small flathead screwdriver.

If you look on the very top/bottom, there should be a little hole to stick a small flat screw driver or anything flat the size of the hole. Ram it in there and pull. should be from the bottom, stick the screw driver/flat metal thing in there and pull the mirror up while doing it. Depending on how long its been on there wiggle it as you pull up.
