DIY: glowing speedometer arrow

I see you like my first DIY, maybe you like my second mod for civic :D

Arrow take from prelude 4th gen speedometer:

Light i use red 12v. led:

1. step
Dismantle your speedo, and carefuly remove arrow

2. step
Remove clock-face and enlarge center hole like photo

Clock-face is done, now time to arrow

1. step
Now equalize arrow and replace weights

Image

Time to lighting

1. step
Cut led, as contain under clock-face

2. step
Solder led with wires
Image

3. step
Size led with clock-face, led will be ascendeth from clock-face center hole, as light get arrow's

4. step
These to wires, from led's connect with red/black and black wires from the other button:

5. step
Collect speedometer and join new look :thumb:

Great! I understand you perfectly. Are your gauges still accurate?

And, with your permission, could I translate your DIY and post it in the Bulgarian Honda Fan club forum? I will note that you are author.

when removing the needles i use a fork.

and putting the needles back on, its really hard to keep them accurate. i used the s300 real time display to get mine back on accurately.

Speed gauge i accurate with GPS, rev gauge i accurate with cold engine, arrow put in gauge 1,5rpm

i got JDM 92 si gauge with 180 speed limit is it possible to change the speed clock face to 220 ?

That looks really really good.

Another Source for glowing needles would be Delsol Instrument Clusters. They Glow from the factory. :thumb:

SEX WEE this is so good thanks for another great tip think I might have a set of Lude clocks somewhere (Goes and digs them out)
