- Wed Jul 25, 2012 11:26 pm #311937 Ok over the past few days I noticed a popping noise when I turn to the right and I think i might be my cv joints but the noise didn't start till I replaced a wheel stud but what else might the problem be

- Thu Jul 26, 2012 11:28 pm #312054 iv seen cv axle go bad without a torn boot if its a constant pop itsw sure to be a axle. would not hurt to check ball joint while in there.

Jack up your car.
Turn wheel by hand.
You should hear/feel the bad constant velocity joint.
