#240837 I bought an eg a couple of months ago it's runs good, the
only problem is that idk what kind of tranny I have. When I bought
The car the guy told me it was an SI tranny. My question is,
what year? Is there any way that I can figure it out? I have a b18b1
sitting in my garage and was told that an SI tranny would work fine with
it that's why I wanna know.

#240851 Depends on which si.

if you have a D Series in your engine bay right now, then its a EX/Si Transmission, That will only fit on D Series.

If you have a B Series in your engien bay, Then its off a 99-00 Si Transmision. They are more commonly refered to as b16 Transmissions though.

You can not mix B and D Series transmissions. We have mulitiple guides on the site about swapping a B into a D Series Civic.

#240853 Then its a D Series EX/SI Tranny, they come in 92-00 Coupe EX's, 92-00 Sedan EX's, 92-95 Hatch Si's and 93-97 Delsol Si's.

You will need a Transmission off one of the following:
93-97 Delsol VTEC(not si, but VTEC)
94-01 Acura Integra(all trims)
99-00 Civic Si/SiR (EM1, The B16 Powered one)

The rest of the swap has been detailed before in detail on the site, Use search or the DIY index to find them.
