how much tranny fluid for a LS

ok i wanted to know how many quarts of tranny fluid would i need for a LS tranny from a obd1 b18a1

should be about 1 and 1/2 quart if i remember correctly.

ok can i pour it in or do i have to take it to a tranny shop for a transmission flush because someone told me you have to pump it in or do some fancy way but didnt believe him so why not ask the experts (civic-eg)

you can do that or you can can take out your speed sensor and pour it in there.

2.2 quarts.

Have you drained the fluid yet? If so, the fill plug is directly above the drain plug.

To pop loose the drain plug, use a 3/8 drive ratchet, drain the fluid. Reinstall the drain plug with a new 14mm crush washer.

Then open the fill plug with a 17mm wrench or socket.

The easiest way I've found is to take off the intake tube and put a rubber hose on a funnel and stick it in the fill plug hole. Honda will tell you to put fluid in it until it starts overflowing. Once it stops overflowing, it's full.

Should take you no more than 10 minutes.
