is that a DPFI OBD0 motor from the EF civic? if so, it's original tranny would be cable, although if that motor is in your EG, someone probably mated a hydro tranny to it aince the EG's are hydro.

Hydro trannys have stampings on them that can help you figure out if you have the long geared or short geared tranny:

More than likely yes. Id go outside and check the EK EX trans sitting in my garage to confirm but its too damn cold.
