#232849 Hi guys...

I can buy a B16A2 engine driven 80k that's kilometers not miles.
It has everything for the swap, axles, gearbox (driven the same amount)
The engine was rebuilt 3 thousand km's ago and the gearbox, everything
100%. Spoon headers, P30 Ecu, 2.5" full exhaust system, CAI, VTi radiator
and like I said EVERYTHING for 2.500$

Or...

I can buy a K24A2 driven 8 thousand kilometers with a transmission
for 3.000$ then I need everything else.

What would you guys do ?

I know it's a budget question but it's my daily and just wondering
what you guys would do.

The plus is that the B16A2 is in a car now and I can try it and see
how it works.

Oh and it's going to be a N/A car.

Thanks. :?

#232875 If you get the K24a2, You will need Base Model RSX Axles, Hasport Mounts(the ones for the TSX/Accord Tranny, not the Civic Si/RSX Tranny) shift linkage, wiring and more.

You can get a K24a1 out of an CRV for cheaper then that out of a Junkyard,Match it upto a K Series Manual tranny from a junkyard Accord or Civic Si/RSX.

Depending on the junkyard you goto you should be able to get complete k24a1 and manual tranny for less then $600. Grab a Hasport Mount kit if you have an accord/tsx tranny, If you get a Civic Si/RSX Tranny you can get the Hybrid Racing moutns or the Civic Si/RSX moutns from Hasport. You will need to get Shiftlinkage and box from a 90-93 Accord. Base Model RSX Axles, Imbolizer remover for your ECU/Hondata Kpro, and a Wiring harness Plug and Play adapter. All og which could be got for the remaining 2400 if you hunt around.

If It was me I would personally got with a K24 setup, Even if its the CR-V K24a1 as you can always swap heads to a performance vtec head, even if you dont you still have 160 hp and 160lbs of torque. More then any B Swap.

I have had a B16. I drove b16's with Bolt Ons. They where still slow. I view the b16 as almost a worthless swap as for less money you can get a faster B series(LS,B20 + B16 transmission) D16z6's can beat B16's. I have seen it happen.

If you bought the B16 setup and sold the b16, and got say a b18c GSR or B18b LS, or B20b you would have a pretty quick setup. However if I was going to be spending 2500 on an Engine setup, I would end up Building a K Series Swap.

#232878 I think it really depends on what your budget is, and what you are swapping it into. The B16 will be much more affordable, and it can still rip pretty freakin hard depending on what you swap it in to. Im swapping a B16A2 into a CRX, and i know its gunna rip.

Needless to say, if you can throw down for the K swap, go for it! Like states above, its going to make a lot more power in general.

#232905 Thanks for the reply guys...

The guy that's selling me the engine told me I need this as well:

ECU.
Engine Mount Kit http://www.hybrid-racing.com/store/m...mount-kit.html
Pulley kit Eliminates P/S and A/C http://www.k-tuned.com/store/product...products_id=41
Feed Fuel System http://www.k-tuned.com/store/product...roducts_id=102
Clutch Line Kit http://www.k-tuned.com/store/product...products_id=80
Hybrid Racing K-series Harness http://www.k-tuned.com/store/product...products_id=49
Swivel Neck Thermostat http://www.k-tuned.com/store/product...roducts_id=104

It's going to me my daily for the next year, the wife and kids have
another car, I'm just worried about the budget because the K24 is
going to be so much more expensive, it's expensive to order
the parts I need from the States to Iceland...
