Rebuilding my y8/b7

Hey I'm building a y8/b7 mini-me all motor and I know I need new valves, springs, pistons, cams, camshaft, and injectors. I already have my intake and header but is there anything else besides those I need to complete this swap?

why do you need all that?
are both the block and head all blowed up?
block: check cylinder walls for scoring, rod 'big ends' for play.
replace water pump, new timing belt, tensioner.
head: probably needs new valve stem seals
new head gasket for sure.
