Exhaust question, need info?! =]

My friend Dustin decided to give me an 'axel back' exhaust, but my problem is that the box it was in said it was for a hatchback. I thanked him and said it wouldn't fit on my coupe, but he swears that just axel back fits, so I'm all around confused.
Is he right or am I right??

you're right, the hatch's will be too short.

Really? On an axle back? Isn't that just basically the muffler? Slide it under your car and take a look. There's a flange right there at the rear lower control arm... our cars don't have an axle.

IDK, it's just what he told me, and due to the weather, there's no sliding it under my car possible right now.

too short your going to have to extend the piping...or get one for a coupe... either way with out modding it it wont fit.

the angle where the axleback goes will clear the arm but the exhaust tip will be too short. You can get it extended at the muffler.

OIC. Well, I guess you could buy one of those screw-on exhaust tips or pay a muffler shop $20 to weld one on.
