anyone got any experience fiberglassing?

ok so i wanted to swap out my 92 sedan door panels for the coupe panels but since they wont work i would like to uncover them and glass them then pain them the same color as the car does anybody have any experience in this or know of someone who has done it? like what type of fiberglass matting i need and ect.

I made a gauge pod and learned that fiberglass is nasty, messy, and a lot of work to get it smooth in the end. I'd practice on something small before you attempt the door panel :thumb:

are you having to build it up or just recover the door panel because this will matter, i have done quit a bit of glass work to several cars i have had, if you just need to over lay it then you will need to get the on that looks like it is little squares that is the one for smooth apps.

Holy crap man i think thats the first post you made with absolutly no caps!! lol!! JK! Anyways like teal said practice on something small first! just keep practicing and youll get the hang of it and once you do its sooooo easy!! Im going to try my hand at carbon fiber and kevlar (pretty same as fiberglass) as soon as i can get my hands on 2 things! A vaccum sealer and money LOL!! :lol: :lol:
