tools needed

1. Dremel with cutoff wheel or grinder.
2. jb weld
3. two washers
4. plastic
5. ky
6. dropper

The power rack and manual rack mounts and subframes are completely different. I had to find out the hard way, any way heres a comparison of the the two mounts.

^^Thats a big difference^^

So u take ur cutoff wheel or grinder, i used a grinder cause my wheel was down to nothing. and grind out the holes like so.

heres a little mock up with the power bracket, and a few pics to show how much of the manual bracket the bolts will bite down on.

next i layed down some plastic and spread some ky on it. Then mixed up the jb weld and put it in the dropper. Then layed it out.


after it the jb weld was rock solid, i trimmed the washers flat like so.


and the finished product


I did this about a week ago cause my rack started binding with new lower ball joints in, now the binding is gone and my steering feels way more solid.

Awesome DIY!! I may be over-thinking this here. So this mods the manual bracket to fit the power subframe. So do u use the roound power rack bushing or the D shaped manual bushing?

I used part of the power bushing to compensate for the grove on the subframe, the bushing on the manual rack is about an inch off so u have to slide it over a little bit. WD40 and a flathead screw driver worked pretty good for that. Ill eventually fill in the grove on the power subframe, n prolly jb weld that too its really strong stuff.
