whining noise?

I recently changed the head gasket on my car. and now it does some whining noise. I dont if its the power steering belt or the timing belt. help?

Could also be your water pump.

what about your timming belt? most likely the water pump.... but did you mess with your timming belt?

I had a similar issue some time ago, turned out the timing belt was VERY tight, like zero play in it.

same thing happend to a friend of mine. Thats probably what the problem is.

The timing belt is too tight for sure.
Makes it sound like you have a super charger under the hood.

I've got some crazy thoughts with your thread title.... :lol:

But i think it's one of the belts... could be your , Timingbelt, PSbelt or the alternatorbelt....

Try to replace the last 2 first it's an easy (and cheap) job to do... if the wining noise is till there, then think about the timing belt or something else.
