crankshaft holder

yea it works. Its designed to take off the crank pulley.

X2, if you dont have an impact and need to get the pulley off it makes it so much easier.

What it does is lock into the octoganol shape of the pulley and the stops on the "frame" portion in your engine bay. works wonders like i said if you didnt have an impact.

off hand i think that particular crank shaft pulley only cam on Ex and Si. I could be wrong, but I do know my original pulley on my Z6 which came out of a 94 Si was shaped like the holder.

If you look in a Haynes or Chiltons it says to take a big screw driver and wedge it into the flywheel if you are trying to take off the bolt. But remember there is always the use of an impact of you have one.

it only works on D series motors. B series cranks are different.

The D-series one looks exactly like it. I think i still have mine.

ahh screw it.... I did what sohcivegra said to do... because I have a haynes manual.... just shove something to stop the flywheel from turning and just have a giant breaker bar.... pretty simple to me and I did it on while the motor was on an engine stand...
