ECU's

hey new to the forums. i was wondering if the d15b7 ecu and the d15b8 ecu were the same. or if it wouldnt have to changed when swapped from motor to motor

I imagine that the fuel maps are different, one is the 8 valve cx motor and the other is the 16 valve dx/lx. motor.

I would switch ECU's :thumb:

yeah from what i hear too is the ecu wont really know i got two more valves? idk sounds funny

but yeah i figures the fuel maps would be different.

now i would be able use the same harness correct?

Fuel and ignition tables are probably very different. Download Crome, find some stock calibrations, and compare the maps. That's what I did when I was comparing the P07 to the P28.

All the plug harnesses are the same within an OBD generation. They'll plug in, and they'll run, but depending on different models there are a few different pins here and there ie EGR, LAF, shift light, VTEC etc. None of that applies to you I believe.

yeah both basic motors jus one with 16 valves an ps and ac in a nutshell
