- Mon May 05, 2014 4:07 pm #345306 i have a 1994 honda ex 1.6 civic coupe. when i get on it hard i can smell burning oil. i looked under the car and found oil dripping from somewhere on the 2-1 exhaust down pipe, then from there ( when the car is off and sitting) onto the ground. does anyone have an idea where the oil leak is? i know its not from the distributor or valve cover.

- Tue May 06, 2014 2:55 pm #345351 Did you have the oil changed recently or did you change the oil recently? Whoever did it may have left the old gasket/o-ring on the block from the filter when they put the new one on. Besides that you just need to clean everything off and go for a brief drive and come back and inspect it to figure out where it is coming from.
