Good topic! I was wondering the same thing...
Over here we have:
cx - HP:70 Torque:91 - 1.5L 8v - Hatchback
dx - HP:102 Torque:98 - 1.5L 16v - Hatchback, Coupe, Sedan
lx - HP:102 Torque:98 - 1.5L 16v - Sedan
vx - HP:92 Torque:97 - 1.5L 16v vtec-e - Hatchback
ex - HP:125 Torque:106 - 1.6L 16v Vtec - Coupe, Sedan
si - HP:125 Torque:106 - 1.6L 16v Vtec - Hatchback
And there is the Del Sol
s - HP:102 Torque:98 - 1.5L 16v (92-95)
s - HP:106 Torque:100? - 1.6L 16v (96-97)
si - HP:125 Torque:106 - 1.6L 16v Vtec
vtec - HP:160 Torque:120? - 1.6L DOHC 16v Vtec
Canada is different as well, I know their Si = our Ex
They also have the Acura EL, an upscale version of the civic with unique sheet metal branded by Acura.

UKDM Del Sol's that we can get are
(bhp figures are approx)
ESi - 1.6l 130bhp sohc
VTi - 1.6l 160bhp dohc
but then there are the JDM versions aswell readily available over here
VXi/VGi (basically the same) - 1.5l 100bhp sohc
VTi - 1.5l 130bhp sohc
SiR - 1.6 160bhp dohc
you could get the transtop roof on all versions as it was a factory option

yeh, thats right... and thats what has been said pretty much.
SiR's are 10bhp more due to higher octaine fuel and more aggresive cams.
