aftermarket cam help

im in the market for a cam for my d16z6 looking for a good daily drivable motor i just want to wake it up a little already have a cold air intake and catback and plans to get a header and high flow cat so i thought about getting a cam and cam gear and need some direction

If you got cash check out Bisimoto engineering. Skunk2, maybe like stage 1 if you go any higher you'll have to upgrade your valves, springs, etc. Hope that info helped :)

If you can get the s2 cam its very nice. I had it on my z6 and it woke it up alot. I did have to run 91 octane just to get 40 mpgs

alright i think im gonna look more into the skunk2 that sounds like its just what im looking for . what happens when you dont run a mid grade fuel? did you get spark knock ?

No I just got 27 mpgs

I've read good things about the Skunk2 stage 1 cam :thumb:

Off topic, I get 27-30 with my B18C on 91 :x

Don't worry i get the same on my b16.
When i had my z6 not only did i have the cam but i also had the head ported. Idk if that helped me get 40mpg on 91 octane.
